W ho is kafir? An infidel i.e. a person who does not believe in Allah and His Oneness, is najis. Similarly, Ghulat who believe in any of the holy twelve Imams as God, or that they are incarnations of God, and Khawarij and Nawasib who express enmity towards th e holy Imams, are also najis. And similar is the case of those who deny Prophethood, or any of the necessary laws of Islam, like, namaz and fasting, which are believed by the Muslims as a part of Islam, and which they also know as such. As regards the people of the Book (i.e. the Jews and the Christians) who do not accept the Prophethood of Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah (Peace be upon him and his progeny), they are commonly considered najis, but it is not improbable that they are Pak. Ho wever, it is better to avoid them. 108. The entire body of a Kafir, including his hair and nails, and all liquid substances of his body, are najis. 10...

Volume 2, Book 22, Number 289: Narrated Kuraib Maula Ibn Abbas: 'Abdullah bin Abbas said that he had passed a night in the house of Maimuna the mother of the faithful believers , who was his aunt. He said, "I slept across the bed, and Allah's Apostle along with his wife slept lengthwise. Allah's Apostle slept till mid-night or slightly before or after it. Then Allah's Apostle woke up, sat, and removed the traces of sleep by rubbing his hands over his face. Then he recited the last ten verses of Surat-Al Imran (2). Then he went towards a hanging leather water-container and performed a perfect ablution and then stood up for prayer." 'Abdullah bin Abbas added, "I got up and did the same as Allah's Apostle had done and then went and stood by his side. Allah's Apostle then put his right hand over my head and caught my right ear and twisted it. He offered two Rakat, then two Rakat, then two Rakat, then two Rakat, then two Rakat, then two Rakat and...

Volume 2, Book 13, Number 1: Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) saying, "We (Muslims) are the last (to come) but (will be) the foremost on the Day of Resurrection though the former nations were given the Holy Scriptures before us. And this was their day (Friday) the celebration of which was made compulsory for them but they differed about it. So Allah gave us the guidance for it (Friday) and all the other people are behind us in this respect: the Jews' (holy day is) tomorrow (i.e. Saturday) and the Christians' (is) the day after tomorrow (i.e. Sunday)."

Praise be to Allaah. It is makrooh to touch the penis with the right hand when urinating, because of the hadeeth of Abu Qataadah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “When one of you drinks, he should not breathe into the vessel, and when he relieves himself, he should not touch his penis with his right hand or wipe himself with his right hand.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 194; Muslim, 393. According to another report narrated by Muslim (392): “No one among you should touch his penis with his right hand when urinating.” Shaykh ‘Abdullah ibn Saalih al-Fawzaan (may Allah preserve him) said: This hadeeth indicates that it is not allowed for the one who is urinating to hold his penis with his right hand whilst urinating, because this is contrary to honouring the right hand. The majority of scholars interpreted this prohibition as meaning that it is makrooh – as stated by an-Nawawi and others – be...

Why muslims are not celebrating st valentine? This question may be answered in several ways: 1- In Islam, the festivals are clearly defined and well established, and no additions or subtractions may be accepted. They are an essential part of our worship and there is no room for personal opinion. They have been prescribed for us by Allah and His Messenger . Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "Festivals are part of the laws, clear way and religious ceremonies of which Allah Says (what means): 'To each among you, We have prescribed a law and a clear way' [Quran 5:48] and 'For every nation We have ordained religious ceremonies which they must follow.' " [Quran 22:67] Like the Qiblah (the direction faced in prayer), prayer and fasting. So there is no difference between joining them in their festival and joining them in their other rituals. Agreeing with the whole festival is agreeing with disbelief. Agreeing...
